Hotheads for a Hott Head | West Palm Beach Keratin Treatment, Extensions

This is my client Terri! Terri has super curly hair naturally, so last week we did a Keratin treatment on her. She loves it! Her hair is much more smooth and she can now blow dry it in pretty much no time. After her Keratin treatment, Terri came to me wanting to add length to her newly smooth hair. I showed her a couple different types of extensions and after learning about Hotheads, Terri decided she definitely wanted extensions.

Check out the before and after pics below to see the length and body we added with Hotheads seamless tape extensions. Doesn’t Terri look hott?!

Pretty in Pink | West Palm Beach Hairstylist, Colorist

Meet Mari. Mari is one of my lovely clients and she LOVES changing her hair color (and I love changing it for her). She always comes to me with an idea of what she wants, but then allows for me to use my creativity to create the best look for her skin tone and face frame. I’ve taken Mari from very dark brown to a caramel ombre then to a much lighter/blonder ombre, back to dark brown with a hot pink streak. Then from the dark brown with hot pink strip to an all over copper with some highlights, then to a dark copper/red, to light brown – I’ve done it ALL on this girl!

Mari is getting ready for her engagement photo shoot on Saturday (which I will be styling as well!) and we wanted to change it up to something super fun for her pictures. So she came in yesterday and I added copper/red again, but this time I used L’Oreal’s DIAcolor (which I’ll be posting about soon!). I love the shade of copper/red we chose because indoors it looks rich and deep, but once she’s in the sun it appears to be almost strawberry/orangish. I also added pink rose (a lighter pink than the hot pink we did before) streaks on each side to give her that punk rock kind of look. Mari loves pink and punk is completely her personality so I think this look suits her perfectly. I can’t say it enough: I absolutely LOVE what we’ve done this time around.

Take a look at all the looks we’ve done on Mari (click on each image to view full size) … which color do you like best on her? Would you rock any of these looks?

A Wedding at Palm Beach Shores | West Palm Beach Bridal Hair & Makeup

This weekend I had the pleasure to do the hair and makeup for a wedding at the Palm Beach Shores Resort on Singer Island. The bride, Laura wanted a high pin-curled effect for her up’do. Since she wanted a lot of height, I added a delicate side bang to soften the look and compliment the shape of her face. Laura was so much fun to work with and made a beautiful bride. What do you think of the look I gave her?

Bridal Trial – Kellie

Meet Kellie.

Kellie is a bride-to-be who came in for a hair and makeup trial the other day. She wanted a ‘do that was romantic, had a lot of curls and movement, but kept all the hair out of her face and off her shoulders. I worked with her side part, added some waves on the side and worked my magic on the rest.

For her makeup she wanted a natural, but smoky eye. I airbrushed her (LOVE airbrush!) and used a peachy/pink blush to compliment her skin tone. I added some natural looking fake lashes to compliment the modest smoky eye that I had given her and finished the look with nude liner, lipstick and a shiny gloss.

Kellie is having a small, intimate wedding in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on April 14, 2012. I cannot wait to join Kellie and help her not only look, but feel more beautiful on her special day.

Check out the after hair and makeup photos below. What do you think of her look?

Makeup for Spring/Summer 2012

With Spring among us AND me shooting my very first makeup tutorial tonight, I figured it’s the perfect excuse to blog about nothing other than some of my favorite makeup trends for Spring/Summer 2012.

I absolutely love the cat-eye look! I’ve seen a few new variations to this look that I’m loving; inner corner and outer corner lines, two layered outer corner, etc.

Red Lips
If you’re like me and you like a simple clean cat-eye look with nude shadow then you MUST pair them up with a gorgeous and bold red lipstick! There are endless ways to wear a dramatic red, but my personal favorite is to make this bold lip the star of your overall look.

Bold Brows
Beautiful eyebrows are both attention-grabbing and feminine. I love to use a pigment to darken my brows and give them a dramatic arch.

Metallic Lids
I love the futuristic look of white or silver boldly lining the inner eye following all the way around and up to the brow bone.

Smoky Eyes
Smudged-out and serious is the look for Spring/Summer. Think punk rock princess or daring diva. Either way, this look is smoking hot!
