Meet Amanda! Amanda wanted to be a brunette. Being a blonde for so long, it was time for Amanda to have a change! We decided to do the ombré effect. Today’s trends with up-do’s have changed dramatically. Up-dos now are messy, and have a lot of movement into the hair design. I prefer the messy look, because it tends to last longer and if you dance all night you don’t have to worry about your hair. To go to an event or a wedding with a messy up-do is such a quick way to get a classic look. Saturday my client had a color root application and some highlights applied for the Summer. After I finished her blow-dry we decided to do a classic chic bun. It was so nice to be able to create something clean and so artistic. I love that I can incorporate so many different looks with different types of texture in the hair! I am posting some after pictures of her up-do. My client Shelby had a prom on Saturday so she came in for some makeup services. We did an airbrush application and I decided to give her a soft smokey eye. I added some blush to accentuate her cheek bones and some lashes so that her look would be more dramatic! Shelby looked so beautiful, don’t you agree?
My client Kris is so fun to work with! Kris naturally has dark hair and loves being a blonde, plus she’s a total blonde bombshell. Her personality is always so uplifting and sweet. Kris came to me about a year ago and wanted to add extensions. We have been adding the Hotheads Hair Wear Extensions into her hair. Kris’s hair has grown so much and we have been maintaining her blonde hair for a year now. I love softening and lifting her new growth (the base) to a lighter color and then I go in and do a full highlight! My client Krysta came to me for a haircut a couple weeks ago and I noticed she had pretty frizzy hair. I asked her questions about styling her hair and such and Krysta expressed that she had difficulty styling because of the frizziness. The ombre is going softy for Summer giving the look a much less dramatic feel with lots of tones and warmth. This past weekend I met bride Dana and her 8 bridesmaids at The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach. If you’ve never been to this hotel before, I definitely recommend checking it out, it is absolutely beautiful!!
All of Dana’s bridesmaids had really fine hair so we decided to go mostly with ‘dos that were half up, half down to avoid falling hair during the ceremony. With Dana we went with a flapper-like up-do which I absolutely LOVED the way it turned out! Take a look at some of the before and after pics below. What do you think?
Hannah is one of my clients who has loves her funky style and she wears it so well.
